Equal Power

from 35.00

With this collage Aaron works to challenge the notions many hold about masculinity and femininity: their strengths, their weaknesses, their value, and their importance.  Far too often children (and adults too for that matter) are taught to deny things in them that are “too feminine” or “too masculine.” Aaron almost gave up on art because he believed it was too feminine and that he should strive to be more masculine. Here he presents the idea that both the masculine and the feminine have equal power and that we should seek to find our balance between the two, growing to a positive place of seeing and respecting them equally.
